Uche Agbo

Uchechukwu Agbo is a growing entrepreneur with an innovative leadership style and inclination towards the different arms of the agro-allied sector including livestock and vegetable farming. Uche is currently studying towards a Masters Degree at the Flint campus of the University of Michigan. When he receives the $K grant, he plans to partner with owners of hoop houses within Flint to domesticate the production of African vegetables which will be far cheaper than imported varieties and create local jobs for area urban farmers. While employing the community-supported agriculture system, Uche’s idea will create viable channels through which to simultaneously serve the retail stores and the final consumers, especially low and middle-income earners who are currently unable to afford imported varieties of these foods.
