Carmichaelle Joseph is a native of Haiti. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Masters in Developmental Disabilities and a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. Her professional background is in autism services and traumatic brain injury. Carmichaelle’s passion is to provide greater social connection and curated experiences for those with traumatic injury and cognitive disabilities.
Tropix Kitchen, LLC pairs the excitement and social connection of great food, with the traditions of Haitian/Creole Cuisine. Carmichaelle is in the pop-up stage of development and is bringing authentic Haitian recipes to the streets of Flint, MI. Her long-term goal is to see Tropix Kitchen provides greater activities and social opportunities for individuals with disabilities. She envisions sensory cooking classes and social events around the colors, community inclusion, and culinary experience of Haiti—all while utilizing farm-fresh produce and food grown by Michigan farmers.
